Anti-Abortion Campaign Raises Millions to Reinstate Missouri Ban
Her Health Her Future Missouri donated $2.9 million to support Amendment 3, a ballot measure seeking to reinstate Missouri's abortion ban and prohibit gender-affirming care.
The nonprofit Her Health Her Future Missouri donated $2.9 million to the Her Health, Her Future PAC to support Amendment 3, a ballot measure that would reinstate Missouri's abortion ban and prohibit gender-affirming care for minors. If passed, the amendment would overturn a 2024 reproductive-rights measure, limiting abortion access to cases of fetal anomalies, medical emergencies, and first-trimester rape or incest.
The anti-abortion effort, which has raised $5.3 million, is also supported by the Missouri Right to Life PAC and a new PAC formed by former Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey. In contrast, the opposing campaign, Stop the Ban, has raised over $25.7 million, including nearly $12 million from the Washington D.C.-based Fairness Project.
Campaign adviser James Lawson stated that the nonprofit structure of Her Health Her Future Missouri protects donors from harassment and asserted that 99% of their funding comes from Missourians. However, Alyssa Bowen of True North Research argued that the lack of donor disclosure obscures potential out-of-state influence.
