Azerbaijan Observes Remembrance Day in Lachin and Kalbajar
Residents and officials in the Lachin and Kalbajar districts observed Remembrance Day to honor martyrs who died for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
The Government of Azerbaijan and local residents observed Remembrance Day on September 27 to honor martyrs who died during the Patriotic War and for the country's territorial integrity. Commemorations took place across the Lachin and Kalbajar districts, featuring synchronized events to mark the occasion.
In both Lachin and Kalbajar, participants gathered in their respective central squares for a district-wide minute of silence at 12:00. During this period, all vehicle and pedestrian traffic stopped, and drivers sounded their horns to signal the commemoration.
Attendees in Lachin included representatives from the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Lachin and the Lachin District Restoration, Construction and Management Service. In Kalbajar, the events were attended by local intellectuals, families of the deceased, and employees of the Kalbajar District Restoration, Construction and Management Service, alongside various law enforcement agencies in both regions.
