Anthropic Files IPO Prospectus Targeting $2 Trillion Valuation
Anthropic released its S-1 filing to raise $100 billion, reporting $16.9 billion in third-quarter revenue amid decelerating growth rates.
Anthropic released its S-1 initial public offering prospectus, seeking to raise $100 billion at a valuation of up to $2 trillion. The filing reveals the company generated approximately $16.9 billion in revenue for the third quarter ending September 30, 2026.
This figure represents a 47% increase from the second quarter, though it marks a significant deceleration from the 144% growth rate recorded in the previous period. The company reported strong revenue diversity, with 79% of third-quarter revenue originating from outside its top five customers. Additionally, more than 11,900 customers spent over $100,000 in the trailing 12 months.
Analysts indicate that while enterprise adoption remains strong, the slowing growth rate and the high infrastructure costs necessary to sustain operations may spark debate regarding the company's multitrillion-dollar valuation target.
