First Commerce Bancorp, Inc. reported a net income of $3.7 million for the second quarter of 2026 and $7.2 million for the first six months of the year, representing a significant increase over 2025 figures. As of June 30, 2026, the company saw total loans grow 10.1% to $1.56 billion and total deposits increase 9.9% to $1.42 billion.
The company's board unanimously declared a $0.05 per common share cash dividend for shareholders of record on August 10, 2026. Additionally, the firm completed a tender offer to repurchase 3.0 million shares of common stock at $7.00 per share, a move totaling $21.0 million.
President and CEO Donald Mindiak attributed the improved profitability to a balance sheet growth initiative launched in 2025. Mindiak also announced that the company will transition to a more technologically advanced core processing system during the fall of 2026 to improve the customer experience.
