Taiwan Drone Exports Surge to $115.85 Million in Q1 2026
Taiwan exported $115.85 million in complete drones during the first quarter of 2026, with the Czech Republic emerging as the largest buyer.
Taiwanese exports of complete drones reached $115.85 million in the first quarter of 2026, surpassing the total export value for the entire previous year. The Ministry of Economic Affairs (Taiwan) reported that the Czech Republic became the primary importer, purchasing approximately $100 million in drones. Poland, which led imports in 2025, acquired approximately $11.75 million during the same period.
This growth is driven by a global shift toward non-China supply chains and increased defense budgets across Central and Eastern Europe following the Russia-Ukraine war. The surge reflects a rising regional requirement for dual-use drones capable of both civilian and military application.
To support this industrial expansion, the Government of the Republic of China has actively promoted trade shows and established memorandums of understanding with Central and Eastern European nations. These diplomatic and commercial efforts aimed to capitalize on the urgent security needs of the region.
