Mahle GmbH Plans $400 Million IPO for Indian Business

Mahle GmbH is revisiting plans to launch an initial public offering for its Indian operations to raise up to $400 million in Mumbai.

Mahle GmbH is revisiting plans to launch an initial public offering for its Indian business, with early discussions underway with potential advisers for a share sale in Mumbai. The offering could raise between $300 million and $400 million.

The German automotive parts manufacturer previously considered a listing in 2024 but did not proceed at that time. The current move aligns with a broader trend of multinational corporations, including Hyundai Motor Co. and LG Electronics Inc., seeking capital in India's equity markets to leverage strong investor demand and attractive valuations.

India has become the company's fastest-growing market. As of 2025, Mahle operates 11 production locations in the region with more than 4,600 employees. Sales in the Indian market increased by more than 10% in 2025, reaching €455 million.
