The Texas Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a new bicycle plan designed to connect lanes and paths across Lubbock County and several surrounding areas, including Bailey, Yoakum, Floyd, and Garza counties. The initiative aims to improve the safety and ease of bicycle travel on state roads.
To facilitate the planning process, the agency released interactive maps of proposed changes and launched an online survey. The survey asks citizens to provide feedback on bikeway functions, bicycle tourism trail refinements, and the prioritization of specific corridors.
Members of the public have until November 6, 2026, to submit their suggestions and feedback through the agency's online portal.
