The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund plans to invest between $700 million and $800 million into data centers and the broader AI ecosystem, including renewable energy generation and transmission. CEO Sanjiv Aggarwal stated that one of the fund's entities expects to attract up to $3.2 billion in total investments, with the data center allocation potentially rising to $1.5 billion when including co-investments from limited partners.
Established in 2015, the fund currently manages approximately $7 billion in equity capital commitments across private markets, climate, and infrastructure. The organization aims to expand its total assets under management to $10 billion within the next 12 to 18 months. As part of this growth strategy, the fund intends to launch a performing private credit fund in the coming quarters.
