Amazon and Microsoft have committed billions of dollars to government AI partnerships aimed at modernizing public services and addressing a trust deficit between citizens and institutions. In the United States, where only 22% of citizens trust the government to act correctly most of the time, these investments target economic risks such as immigration bottlenecks and delayed permits.

Practical implementations of this technology are already active in other regions. The Government of the United Kingdom has deployed the Humphrey AI suite, a set of tools designed to reduce administrative tasks for public employees.
