Reform UK Launches The Reformer to Bypass Mainstream Media
Reform UK launched a national monthly publication called The Reformer, distributing the first edition to 15 million people to communicate directly with voters.
The political party Reform UK has launched a national monthly publication titled The Reformer as part of a strategy to bypass mainstream media. The party distributed the debut edition to 15 million people across Britain, intending to use the paper as a direct communication tool with the public.
Led by Mick Hume, the publication is the first step in a broader plan to establish a national publishing operation and a seven-day digital newsroom. While the party is currently recruiting NCTJ-qualified journalists, party leader Nigel Farage is the only credited reporter in the first issue. The debut edition features Farage on the front page and includes his columns alongside party policy proposals, including Operation Fortress, which suggests using the Royal Navy to return migrants to France.
In addition to policy outlines, the publication calls for new members and candidates for the local elections scheduled for May 2027. The first edition was produced by the printing company Walstead Group Limited.
