J.P. Morgan Sets $250 Price Target for Salesforce

Salesforce shares rose after J.P. Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee issued an overweight rating and predicted significant growth driven by AI platforms.

Salesforce, Inc. shares increased nearly 2% on Thursday morning following a positive analysis from J.P. Morgan. Analyst Samik Chatterjee issued an overweight rating for the stock with a $250 price target, projecting a 29% upside through December 2027.

Chatterjee argued that investor concerns regarding artificial intelligence disruption are overblown and affect only a small portion of the business. He identified the Headless 360 software and the Data 360 platform as primary drivers for revenue growth. He specifically noted that the Agentforce platform is essential for the company's long-term position in an environment where interfaces are driven by agents rather than screens.

The analysis suggests the company can achieve the Rule of 50, where annual revenue growth and profit margin total 50% or more, by fiscal 2030. Investors are now looking toward the next earnings report on August 26 for further indicators of growth.
