Moskowitz and Singer Win Primaries for Florida's 25th District
Jared Moskowitz and Scott Singer won their respective primary elections to compete for Florida's newly redistricted 25th Congressional District in the November general election.
Florida voters held primary elections on August 18, 2026, to determine party nominees for the November general election, including the race to succeed term-limited Governor Ron DeSantis. In Palm Beach County, Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link reported voter turnout near 20%, with approximately 41,000 ballots cast by late afternoon.
Jared Moskowitz won the Democratic primary for the 25th Congressional District, securing more than two-thirds of the vote to defeat Democratic Socialist candidate Oliver Larkin. Moskowitz focused his campaign on affordability and disaster preparedness. In the Republican primary for the same district, former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer secured the nomination after leading a crowded field.
The general election on November 3 is expected to be competitive. The Cook Political Report classifies the redistricted 25th District, which spans the southeast coast from South Beach to Delray Beach, as a toss-up. Other primary results indicate Representative Lois Frankel maintains a 52% lead over Victoria Doyle, while Byron Donalds and David Jolly will face off in the gubernatorial race.
