Anthropic Opens Singapore Office to Expand Asia-Pacific Presence

Anthropic will open an office in Singapore in October, establishing its fifth location in the Asia-Pacific region. This expansion follows the establishment of offices in Tokyo, Bengaluru, Seoul, and Sydney. The company is currently hiring for nine roles across five teams, including applied AI, marketing, and finance.

Anthropic cited Singapore's innovation ecosystem and high concentration of technical talent as primary drivers for the move. The city-state ranks second globally in per capita usage of the Claude AI model. To lead the regional effort, Dale Finlay has joined the company as general manager of ASEAN and will be based in Singapore to manage partners and customers across Southeast Asia.

The company intends to collaborate with the public sector, large enterprises, and startups, noting particularly strong demand within financial services and government agencies.
