BJP Launches Nationwide 'Save Democracy' Marches in UP and Karnataka

The Bharatiya Janata Party organized 'Save Democracy' marches in Gorakhpur and Chitradurga to accuse the Congress and INDIA bloc of promoting anarchy.

The Bharatiya Janata Party launched a series of 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' padyatras on November 4 across Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka as part of a nationwide outreach campaign. In Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and national president Nitin Nabin led a march where Adityanath accused the Congress and the INDIA bloc of turning electoral defeats into a "politics of anarchy." Adityanath claimed the opposition lacks the clarity, capacity, and credibility to lead.

In Karnataka, National General Secretary Harish Dwivedi and other officials held a similar foot march in Chitradurga. Dwivedi accused the Indian National Congress of disrespecting constitutional institutions and mocked Rahul Gandhi's use of the Constitution. Former Minister B. Sriramulu linked current Congress actions to the 1975 Emergency, asserting that the party has a history of keeping India in darkness.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav dismissed the BJP's activities in Gorakhpur, alleging that the event masks internal power struggles between party leaders in Delhi, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur. Yadav further criticized the BJP for using the name of Lord Krishna, 'Ranchoṛ', in a negative context, describing such knowledge as narrow-minded and dangerous for society.
