Kim Jong Un Features Daughter at Armistice Anniversary

Kim Jong Un led commemorations for the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War armistice by visiting war memorials, meeting veterans, and laying flowers at the graves of first-generation guerrilla fighters. During the events, he described the 1950-1953 war as a "glorious victory" and visited the grave of Mao Anying at the Chinese volunteer soldiers' cemetery to signal deepening ties with Beijing.

His daughter, Ju Ae, accompanied him for the first time during these specific ceremonies. She appeared in ceremonial formations and greeted veterans at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery and the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery.

South Korea's Unification Ministry confirmed Ju Ae's inaugural attendance at these sites. The Republic of Korea's National Intelligence Service stated that Ju Ae is being positioned as Kim's likely successor, noting that her role as heir is solidifying based on credible intelligence and her increasing public visibility.
