Former Care Worker Earns £55,000 Monthly Reselling Clothing
Madi Donohoe transitioned from a low-wage care job to a high-revenue reselling business specializing in Stone Island clothing via the Tilt live auction app.
Madi Donohoe, a 22-year-old former care worker from Frinton, Essex, built a reselling business that averaged £55,000 in monthly revenue between November 2025 and June 2026. Donohoe left her previous employment in December 2022, where she earned £9 per hour, due to health struggles with chronic pain and fibromyalgia.
After starting with smaller items like Nike trainers and Crocs accessories on Vinted, Donohoe shifted her focus to Stone Island clothing sourced from vintage shops and online marketplaces. She scaled her operations using the live auction app Tilt, where she now hosts twice-weekly auctions that attract up to 1,000 viewers. Her sales during the eight-month period totaled £513,000, with individual items ranging from £15 badges to £2,000 prototype jackets.
Donohoe now manages a network of suppliers and employs a packer to ship approximately 200 parcels per week. She credits the flexibility of the Tilt platform for providing the financial independence and quality of life necessary to manage her health conditions.
