Tortured Bodies of Missing Men Found in Balochistan
Pakistani security forces face accusations of torture after the bodies of two missing men were discovered in Balochistan's Kech district.
The bodies of two men, Yasir and Mehran, were discovered showing signs of torture in the Saloi Kaur area of the Kech district in Balochistan. Both men had been reported missing following alleged detentions by Pakistani security forces. Yasir was reportedly taken by Frontier Corps personnel on March 2, 2026, while Mehran was allegedly detained during a raid on November 16, 2025.
Paank, the human rights wing of the Baloch National Movement, condemned the deaths and demanded an independent investigation into the involvement of security personnel. The discovery coincides with ongoing unrest regarding enforced disappearances in the region.
In Quetta, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons continued a long-term protest at the Press Club. During the demonstration, the family of Abdul Rehman Marri renewed demands for information regarding his disappearance in January 2015. Nasrullah Baloch, chairman of the organization, urged authorities to recover all missing individuals and produce them before a court.
