Yum! Brands Closes All KFC and Taco Bell in Puerto Rico

Yum! Brands has temporarily closed all KFC and Taco Bell restaurants across Puerto Rico after terminating its relationship with the island's operator, Encanto Restaurants. The parent company stated the decision followed a determination that Encanto Restaurants could no longer operate according to company standards.

Encanto Restaurants operates 180 locations on the island, including Pizza Hut and IHOP, and employs more than 3,000 people. The company has not provided a comment regarding the closures.

Yum! Brands expressed a continued commitment to the region and is currently seeking a new franchise partner to reopen the affected restaurants. The company stated it is working as quickly as possible to welcome customers back to its locations.
