The Israel Defense Forces displayed a vast arsenal of weapons seized from Hezbollah and Hamas at the Tzrifin Base in Central Israel. The confiscated equipment includes rockets, drones, mortars, and sniper rifles originating from Iran, Russia, and China, as well as Nazi-era German weaponry used for propaganda purposes.
Lt. Col. Idan Sharon-Kettler of the Captured Equipment Evacuation Unit explained that these groups utilized dual-use technology, including motorcycles and ATVs, to transport munitions and conduct attacks in Israel and southern Lebanon. The seizures follow a multi-front conflict that began with the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023.
Although a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Lebanon in November 2024, the IDF continues operations to clear military entities targeting civilians. Simultaneously, the United States Department of State is leading efforts to disarm Hezbollah and facilitate an IDF withdrawal from southern Lebanon, with further negotiations scheduled for early September in Rome.
