Azerbaijan Targets 30 Percent Share for Non-Oil Exports
Azerbaijan is implementing transportation subsidies and concessional loans to increase non-oil and gas exports to 30 percent of its total export volume.
Azerbaijan is pursuing a strategic shift to increase the share of non-oil and gas exports to 30 percent of its total export volume. To achieve this goal, the government is introducing new support mechanisms designed to lower the costs of accessing foreign markets.
Huseyn Huseynov, Adviser to the Minister of Economy, announced that the state will subsidize up to 70 percent of transportation costs for eligible exporters. Additionally, the government will provide partial customs duty compensation specifically for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
Financial support for entrepreneurship has already scaled in 2026. The Entrepreneurship Development Fund, operating under the Ministry of Economy, allocated approximately AZN 246 million in concessional loans to more than 4,000 projects during the first nine months of the year.
