Tata Power Commissions 190.5 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited commissioned a 190.5 MW solar project in Rajasthan to supply power to Haryana, Maharashtra, and Noida.

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, commissioned a 190.5 MW solar Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project in Kalasar, Bikaner, Rajasthan. Developed under SJVN FDRE Tranche-1, the facility is part of a larger 460 MW contractual capacity.

The project will supply energy to the Haryana Power Purchase Centre, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, and Noida Power Company. To ensure reliable power delivery, the site integrates Battery Energy Storage Systems, harmonic filter banks, and static var generator systems. The company completed the project despite facing compressed timelines and global supply chain disruptions.

This commissioning increases the total renewable utility capacity of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited to 12.4 GW, with 6.9 GW now operational. The Tata Power Company Limited stated that the project marks another significant milestone in India's clean energy journey by integrating large-scale solar generation with advanced energy storage and grid support technologies to deliver reliable, dispatchable renewable power.
