Saudi Energy Secures SAR 15.8 Billion Bank Financing Facility
Saudi Energy obtained a SAR 15.8 billion shariah-compliant financing facility from seven local banks to enhance financial flexibility and support strategic operations.
Saudi Energy, the primary power service provider for Saudi Arabia, secured a SAR 15.8 billion Murabaha financing facility from a consortium of seven local banks on July 28, 2026. The shariah-compliant funding was provided on an unsecured basis with a seven-year tenor.
The facility was arranged by a group of institutions including Saudi National Bank, Al Rajhi Banking and Investment Corporation, Saudi Awwal Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi, Arab National Bank, Riyad Bank, and The Saudi Investment Bank. Estimates of the facility's value in U.S. dollars vary between $4.1 billion and $4.22 billion.
Saudi Energy intends to use the capital for general corporate purposes. The company stated the funding will increase financial flexibility and support ongoing operations, strategic initiatives, and future business requirements.
