Apollo Global Projects 20% Growth With $350 Million Infrastructure Investment

Apollo Global Management reported record quarterly earnings and announced a $350 million investment to modernize its private market infrastructure and automate trading platforms.

Apollo Global Management reported record third-quarter 2026 fee-related earnings of $802 million and projected that this growth will exceed 20% in 2027. During its earnings call on November 3, the firm detailed a strategic shift toward a de-risking investment strategy, moving capital away from lower-rated loans in favor of senior secured debt and investment-grade assets rated BBB or higher.

To support this transition and improve market liquidity, the firm is investing $350 million over the next 24 months to modernize its private market infrastructure. This investment focuses on implementing automated trading platforms and daily valuations. The firm also reported a quarterly origination volume of $114 billion, fueled by high demand in the compute and power sectors.

Apollo is specifically targeting AI infrastructure, data centers, and power grid expansions. The firm intends to use fully amortizing loans backed by corporate guarantees to avoid unhedged equity risk. This disciplined approach to AI financing is designed to prioritize senior secured positions in credit and reduce leverage in equity holdings.
