Revolut Obtains Colombian Banking License for 2027 Launch

Revolut obtained a banking license in Colombia on Tuesday, completing the final regulatory requirement to begin operations in the country. The British fintech company plans to officially launch its services in Colombia in 2027.

To support the expansion, the company will invest an additional $62 million into digital banking infrastructure and financial technology. This new funding doubles the company's initial investment in the nation.

Revolut currently serves more than 80 million customers globally. The company reports that nearly 200,000 Colombians have already joined a waiting list to access the platform.
