Brookfield Negotiates $2 Billion Deal for Nice Actimize Division
Brookfield is in talks to acquire the financial risk management division of Nice for $2 billion, though higher competing offers have reportedly emerged.
Brookfield, a Canadian investment company, is negotiating the acquisition of Actimize, the financial risk management division of Nice, for $2 billion. The discussions are being led by the financial infrastructure arm of Brookfield, though the deal is not yet finalized and remains subject to collapse.
Nice acquired Actimize in 2007 and is now considering several options for the division. While the current talks with Brookfield are ongoing, Nice has reportedly received other non-binding offers valued between $2.5 billion and $3 billion, which exceed the current proposal from Brookfield.
Shares of Nice saw gains in pre-market trading on both the Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange following reports of the potential sale.
