Reco Launches Browser-Based AI Runtime Security Tools

Reco expanded its AI Runtime platform to include browser-based enforcement and real-time prompt blocking to manage AI agent security.

The cybersecurity firm Reco expanded its AI Runtime capabilities to introduce browser-based enforcement, automated remediation, and real-time analysis and blocking of prompts. This update includes the launch of Reco Browser Guard, which entered early access to provide security teams with visibility into unsanctioned AI usage within browsers. The company expects to roll out blocking and policy enforcement for the tool on July 29.

Further developments regarding prompt, response, and tool-call analysis are scheduled for general availability in October. These features allow organizations to manage the security risks and blast radius of AI agents without requiring the rerouting of traffic through traditional gateways.

CEO Ofer Klein explained that while posture indicates what an agent can reach, runtime provides immediate control over current actions. The company intends to demonstrate these security capabilities live during the Black Hat USA 2026 conference, held from August 2 to August 7.
