Sony Indefinitely Delays FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick Launch
Sony has indefinitely postponed the release of its FlexStrike wireless fight stick due to unexpected production delays.
Sony has indefinitely delayed the launch of the Sony Interactive Entertainment FlexStrike wireless fight stick, which was originally scheduled for release on August 6, 2026. The company cited "unexpected production delays" for the postponement, stating it is taking extra time to put finishing touches on the product to ensure the best possible player experience.
The hardware was intended to launch alongside Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a fighting game published by PlayStation. While the FlexStrike will now miss this window, the game remains scheduled for its original release date. The peripheral retails for $199.99 in the U.S. and £179.99 in the U.K., featuring PlayStation Link low-latency wireless technology, swappable restrictor gates, and a USB-C wired option.
Sony is currently sending email updates to customers who pre-ordered the device through PlayStation Direct and other retailers, advising them to monitor their order status via the official PlayStation website. The company has not provided a new release date but promised to share further updates soon.
