Quantum Computing Inc Reports Q2 Revenue Amid Sector Fidelity Race

Quantum Computing Inc reported $5.6 million in Q2 revenue as major industry players race to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems.

Quantum Computing Inc reported $5.6 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2026, supported by a $1.3 billion cash reserve and a $42.5 million contract backlog. The company is expanding its market reach by positioning itself as an integrated photonics and semiconductor platform via the NeuraWave system and recent acquisitions, though it continues to struggle with negative gross margins and rising costs.

Across the broader quantum computing sector, companies are competing to develop fault-tolerant systems to ensure accuracy at scale. IonQ currently leads in accuracy with 99.99% two-qubit gate fidelity and has pursued vertical integration through the acquisition of the SkyWater quantum foundry.

Other industry leaders are pursuing different technical paths to scalability. Quantinuum is developing the Sol system to reach 99.999% logical fidelity by 2027 and has released the Guppy open-source language. Meanwhile, Infleqtion is utilizing a neutral-atom approach to increase qubit density, targeting 99.9% fidelity in 2026.
