Cable News Network is releasing a new documentary titled "Eclipsing Power: Musk, Bezos, and the New Space Race," which examines the influence of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos on the United States space program. The film details the rise of SpaceX and Blue Origin and explores the transition of space exploration from a government-led effort to one driven by private ambition.

The production analyzes the specific risks and opportunities created by the increasing reliance of NASA on private industry, particularly as the U.S. competes with China to return humans to the moon. The documentary features interviews with Planetary Society Chief Ambassador Bill Nye and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.
