Google LLC Releases Three Gemini Flash AI Models

Google LLC released three new artificial intelligence models on July 21, 2026, to compete with rivals Anthropic, OpenAI, and Meta. The rollout includes Gemini 3.6 Flash, the company's most powerful version, and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, which is designed to manage autonomous AI agents.

Also included in the launch is Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, a model fine-tuned for cybersecurity. This specific model will be available exclusively to governments and trusted partners to assist defenders in identifying and fixing critical vulnerabilities. In testing, Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber identified 55 problems in the V8 JavaScript Engine, including 10 vulnerabilities that other models failed to detect.

The new Flash series is more cost-effective for developers, utilizing 17% fewer tokens than previous versions. Despite these releases, Google's flagship Gemini 3.5 Pro remains in testing and has missed its previous June target date for broad release.
