Kemi Badenoch Calls for Farage and Count Binface Debate
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch proposed a televised debate between Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and satirical candidate Count Binface during Prime Minister's Questions.
Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch called for a televised debate between Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and satirical candidate Count Binface during Prime Minister's Questions on July 15, 2026. The proposal, which triggered laughter in the House of Commons, follows a by-election in Clacton sparked by Farage's resignation as an MP.
While an Ipsos poll indicates that 33% of UK residents prefer Count Binface over Farage's 21%, betting experts from OLBG maintain that Farage has an 87.5% chance of victory. Farage has framed the contest as a message to the establishment, provided the voters of Clacton support him.
Farage currently faces scrutiny over undeclared funding, including a £5 million gift from a Thailand-based donor and funds from convicted fraudster George Cottrell. Farage described the media's treatment of him as extraordinary, claiming he is being treated like a war criminal and penalized for his business success and receipt of a large gift.
