The final figure exceeded a March 2026 revised estimate of approximately $846 million to $849 million, though it fell short of an initial 2024 projection of $929 million.

Growth was driven by higher-than-expected international fan attendance, overnight visitors for watch parties, and a second match featuring the U.S. men's national soccer team. While restaurants and bars near Lumen Field saw significant gains, the broader hospitality industry reported mixed results; hotel revenue increased due to higher room prices despite a drop in occupancy rates. The Government of Seattle spent approximately $32 million on appropriations to prepare for the tournament.

Despite the local financial boost, the Port of Seattle reported that passenger totals at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport remained nearly flat during June and July. A slight increase in international travelers was offset by a domestic decrease, indicating the event did not trigger an unprecedented surge in overall tourism. Local officials characterized the tournament as a driver of future visitation and a way for the region to showcase itself on a global stage.
