Pitchwise Holdings Acquires 42% Stake in Valencia CF

Pitchwise Holdings acquired a 42% stake in Valencia CF for €1.25 billion, providing a €100 million capital injection to support the club's stadium transition.

A U.S.-based investment consortium, Pitchwise Holdings, has acquired a 42% stake in the Spanish football club Valencia from majority owner Meriton Holdings. The transaction values the club at an enterprise value of €1.25 billion and includes a €100 million capital injection for direct investment.

Led by sports executives Ann Rodriguez and Corey Woolfolk, the Pitchwise consortium is backed by institutional capital and family offices, including the Penner Sports Group and KKR co-founders George Roberts and Henry Kravis. Meriton Holdings, led by Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, retains majority ownership of the club. Kiat Lim will remain as club president and join the new ownership group.

The investment aims to facilitate Valencia's transition to the 70,000-seat Nou Mestalla stadium before the 2030 Fifa World Cup. This infrastructure project is described as the most significant milestone for the club in 100 years. The financial infusion arrives as Valencia struggles on the pitch, currently sitting 19th in the La Liga standings.
