Yemeni Government Forces Launch 2,200 Strikes in Dawn of Yemen
The Government of Yemen launched 2,200 strikes against Houthi targets on Tuesday as part of a broad offensive to recapture held territories.
The Government of Yemen intensified its Dawn of Yemen military operation on Tuesday, executing 2,200 strikes against Houthi targets across eastern and southern fronts. Utilizing a combination of warplanes, drones, artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units, government forces targeted ammunition depots, command centers, fortifications, and supply routes.
Brigadier General Majed Abdullah al-Nadhib reported that the offensive neutralized approximately 1,200 Houthi fighters and destroyed or damaged more than 440 military vehicles and pieces of equipment. In Taiz province, forces specifically targeted Houthi convoys to block the movement of reinforcements.
Supported by a Saudi-led coalition, the operation aims to retake territory following the collapse of a 2022 truce in July. While the offensive continues, military engineering units are simultaneously conducting mine-clearing operations on the western front to facilitate the return of civilians to recaptured areas.
