Stewart's Shop Corp. is recalling half-gallon cartons of two ice cream flavors sold in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire due to potential metal contamination.
Stewart's Shop Corp. is recalling half-gallon cartons of Heavenly Medley and Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry ice cream after a consumer discovered a metal object in one of the products. The affected ice cream was sold at all company locations across New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire between July 17 and October 2, 2026.
Heavenly Medley cartons carry a best-by date of February 10, 2027 (UPC 0 82086 44371 1), while Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry cartons have a best-by date of February 11, 2027 (UPC 0 82086 44377 3). The company warned that metal fragments can cause traumatic injuries to the mouth, throat, and digestive tract, though no injuries or illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Customers are advised not to consume the ice cream and may return the affected cartons to any store location for a full refund.
