Halal Food Supplier Quality Bites Collapses Into Liquidation
Quality Bites, a West Midlands halal frozen food supplier, has closed after entering voluntary liquidation, ending its service to over 1,000 UK supermarkets.
Quality Bites, a halal frozen food supplier based in the West Midlands, has closed after collapsing into liquidation. The company, which operated for 13 years after its establishment in May 2013, supplied ethnic foods such as samosas, kebabs, and crispy chicken to more than 1,000 independent supermarkets and grocery stores across the United Kingdom.
The company was voluntarily wound up on October 7. Deviesh Raikundalia of Hall Chadwick (UK) Limited was appointed as the liquidator to manage the winding-up process.
The closure occurs amid a period of instability for British businesses in 2026. Other notable failures during this period include the closure of high street brands Claire's and Quiz, as well as the shutdown of standalone branded restaurants operated by Whitbread.
