Investments are diversified across six continents and multiple sectors, including energy, technology, infrastructure, and healthcare. North America remains the primary destination, accounting for 44 percent of the Mubadala Investment Company portfolio and between 45 and 60 percent of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority's strategic allocation. The UAE has also become the largest investor in Africa over the last four years.
This global expansion is supported by Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements and the operations of DP World and AD Ports Group. Fahad Al Gergawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, stated that the UAE's approach is based on economic openness and creating an enabling environment that allows investors to capitalise on opportunities across different markets.
