Larsen & Toubro Wins $979 Million Kuwaiti Oil Project

Larsen & Toubro secured a major EPC contract from Kuwait Oil Company to develop Jurassic Light Oil export facilities and crude loading infrastructure.

Larsen & Toubro Limited secured a major engineering, procurement, and construction contract from the Kuwait Oil Company to develop Jurassic Light Oil export facilities in Kuwait. The project, awarded in early July 2026 on a lump-sum turnkey basis, is valued at $979.2 million.

The scope of work includes the construction of six crude oil storage tanks, each with a capacity of 618,000 barrels, and the installation of new pipelines. The project also requires upgrading Kuwait's existing crude loading and export network to increase overall production and handling capabilities.

E S Sathyanarayanan, Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, described the project as a major strategic investment. The initiative is designed to support the energy ambitions of Kuwait by improving its crude handling operations through world-class project execution.
