Senators Release Fauci Texts Showing Private Vaccine Miscarriage Concerns

Senators Ron Johnson and Rand Paul released an initial batch of text messages from the government-issued cellphone of Anthony Fauci, which was used from 2014 until December 2022. The device, transferred to Senator Johnson's office by the Department of Health and Human Services, contains over 34,000 text messages and approximately 522 voicemails.

Messages from January 2021 show Fauci discussing the safety of COVID-19 vaccines for pregnant women with then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy. In these private exchanges, Fauci noted that a second vaccine dose theoretically could be associated with first-trimester miscarriages. Murthy reportedly mentioned concerns that mRNA could cause mutations in developing fetuses. These admissions contrast with Fauci's public statements in February and August 2021, where he claimed there were no red flags or indications of increased adverse issues for pregnant women.

The release follows a July 29 Senate hearing where Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times. Senator Johnson stated he will continue reviewing the data to identify potential deletions compared to previous FOIA requests. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier stated that Florida's probe into Fauci is continuing and that additional subpoenas will be issued to determine the extent of the deception.
