Orix Corp Acquires AerFin Ltd For 100 Billion Yen

Orix Corp agreed to acquire UK-based aviation parts firm AerFin Ltd for approximately 100 billion yen to expand its aircraft component recycling services.

Orix Corp, a Tokyo-based diversified financial company, has agreed to acquire the UK-based aviation parts firm AerFin Ltd in a deal valued at approximately 100 billion yen ($640 million), including debt. The company intends to finalize the transaction by the end of 2026.

AerFin specializes in harvesting usable components from retired engines and aircraft to sell to airlines and maintenance companies, generating roughly $370 million in annual revenue. Orix aims to use the acquisition to expand its aviation services into the recycling of retired aircraft components.

This strategic move allows Orix to capitalize on current industry shortages of replacement parts, which have been exacerbated by production disruptions and labor issues.
