Dubai Municipality completed over 107 urban development projects in 2026, investing Dh1.6 billion to enhance public spaces and stimulate private sector growth.
The Dubai Municipality completed more than 107 urban development projects in 2026, representing a total investment of Dh1.6 billion ($440 million). Executed through the Public Facilities Agency, these initiatives focused on expanding public and community spaces to improve liveability for residents and visitors.
Investment was primarily directed toward public beach developments, which accounted for 36% of the budget, and city beautification, landscaping, and agricultural projects, which received 22%. Key developments included upgrades to Al Mamzar Beaches, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, various schools, and social neighborhood majlises. The agency also provided essential infrastructure to support other government entities in delivering educational and social services.
Beyond physical construction, the Public Facilities Agency created over 100 investment opportunities for the private sector, specifically targeting small and medium-sized enterprises to introduce commercial services into public destinations. These efforts align with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to stimulate economic growth and urban development.
