Aldi UK Announces August Bank Holiday Opening Hours
Aldi UK set modified store hours for the August bank holiday and reduced prices on 330 products as part of a larger investment.
Aldi UK announced that its stores in England and Wales will operate from 8am to 8pm on Monday, August 31, for the August bank holiday. Stores located in Scotland and Northern Ireland will maintain their standard operating hours. The retailer advised customers to check its website for location-specific timings.
To help customers avoid crowds, the company recommended shopping between 8am and 9am or 7pm and 8pm, citing data from the previous year that identified these as the quietest periods. Rachel Geary, Communications Director at Aldi UK, stated that the company wants to make the bank holiday shop as easy as possible for those stocking up for barbecues or family gatherings.
In a separate business move, the retailer recently reduced prices on 330 products. This action is part of a £100 million investment, bringing the total number of price cuts implemented by the company this year to over 1,000 items.
