Finland Unemployment Rate Drops to 9.1 Percent in August

Statistics Finland reported on Tuesday that the national unemployment rate fell to 9.1 percent in August, marking the lowest level in 11 months. The jobless rate for the 15-74 age group decreased from 9.9 percent in July and remained lower than the 9.3 percent recorded in August of the previous year.

The total number of unemployed individuals dropped to 262,000 in August, down from 289,000 in July. While the overall employment rate saw a slight decline, falling to 63.1 percent from 63.3 percent in July, youth unemployment for those aged 15 to 24 remained stable at 16.9 percent.
