Walmart Launches Triple Holiday Event With 11,000 Price Rollbacks
Walmart announced a three-part holiday shopping event and 11,000 price rollbacks funded by $2.9 billion in tariff refunds to drive market share.
Walmart announced a triple holiday shopping event on October 26, featuring Early Black Friday Deals from November 12 to 15, Black Friday from November 23 to 29, and Cyber Monday from November 30 to December 2. To increase market share, the company is using $2.9 billion in tariff refunds to fund more than 11,000 price rollbacks.
As part of the holiday strategy, the retailer is promoting a new $120 annual bundle for Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus members. CEO John Furner stated that the company is investing heavily in price because customers need it and because the move drives market share gains over time. Chief Merchandising Officer Julie Barber described the goal as helping customers save more and make more room for what matters.
Investors are monitoring the company's valuation, which currently sits at approximately $967 billion with stock trading near $122. There is speculation that a strong holiday season could push Walmart's market capitalization past $1 trillion. Market participants are awaiting a projected earnings report on November 19 for initial insights into holiday momentum and full-year guidance.
