Delhi CM Accuses Cockroach Janta Party of Being AAP B-Team

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta accused the Cockroach Janta Party of acting as a political tool for the Aam Aadmi Party during anti-CEC protests.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta accused the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) of functioning as the B-team of the Aam Aadmi Party during a press conference on Wednesday. Gupta questioned why the CJP challenges the Special Intensive Revision process specifically in Delhi when similar revisions occur nationwide, alleging the group only protests in states where they failed to form a government. She further claimed the protests caused losses worth thousands of crores to the city.

These accusations follow a period of escalation for the CJP, including the five-day judicial custody of leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka for breaching Jantar Mantar after its de-notification as a protest site. The group's activities are part of a broader movement against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, who faces allegations of rigging elections to maintain Narendra Modi in power.

Responding to the political climate, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke clarified that the organization is an independent pressure group and not a formal political party. While the INDIA bloc recently led a large-scale march to the Supreme Court demanding Kumar's resignation, Dipke stated that while the CJP shares a common cause with the bloc in opposing the Chief Election Commissioner, it avoids open alignment to maintain its independent identity.
