President William Ruto leads a new Infotrak presidential preference poll with 32 percent support, while Kalonzo Musyoka emerges as the top choice for opposition supporters.
William Ruto leads a new presidential preference poll conducted by Infotrak Research and Consulting, commanding 32 percent support. The survey indicates the president would retain his office if elections were held today, placing him significantly ahead of his nearest competitors.
Kalonzo Musyoka ranks second overall with 13 percent support, while Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i are tied for third place with 12 percent each. Other candidates trailing include former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at 4 percent and Babu Owino at 3 percent. Approximately 18 percent of respondents remain undecided.
Data from the survey, which sampled 3,000 adults across all 47 counties between June 22 and 26, 2026, specifically highlights a competitive race for the opposition flag bearer. Among opposition supporters, Musyoka is the most preferred candidate with 27 percent popularity, narrowly leading Matiang'i at 26 percent and Sifuna at 19 percent. These findings are expected to influence the united opposition's efforts to select a single candidate to challenge the incumbent president.
