Maharashtra Signs MoUs Worth Rs 8.57 Lakh Crore

The Government of Maharashtra signed 67 investment agreements to attract Rs 8.57 lakh crore and reach a $1 trillion economy by 2030.

The Government of Maharashtra signed 67 Memorandums of Understanding worth Rs 8.57 lakh crore during the inauguration of the Invest Maharashtra initiative in Mumbai on October 2, 2026. Led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, the initiative aims to transform the state into a global investment hub and achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2030.

As part of the event, Pranav Adani of the Adani Group announced an investment blueprint exceeding Rs 6 lakh crore. This plan targets energy, aviation, data centers, coal gasification, and urban regeneration, with Rs 2.6 lakh crore in projects already completed or under execution. Adani specifically highlighted the Dharavi Redevelopment Program as a central element of the Mumbai 3.0 vision to turn Asia's largest informal settlement into an economic hub.

The broader state agreements target semiconductors, renewable energy, aerospace, defense, healthcare, and agro-processing, with the potential to create over 2.91 lakh direct and indirect jobs. Fadnavis stated that the initiative focuses on extending benefits to local businesses, MSMEs, youth, and farmers across all regions of the state.
