Ryanair Holdings plc Reports Record July Traffic Amid Profit Drop

The Dublin-based airline Ryanair Holdings plc reported record-breaking passenger numbers for July, transporting 22.2 million people, a 7% increase compared to July 2025. For the 12-month period ending in July, the carrier carried 213.2 million passengers, representing a 5% year-on-year rise.

Despite the increase in traffic, quarterly profits for the three months ending in June fell 34% to 538 million euro. The company attributed the decline to a 6% reduction in average fares used to stimulate demand and doubling jet fuel costs caused by the US-Iran war. These fuel price spikes affected the 20% of the airline's fuel needs not covered by hedging.
