Ninth Digital China Summit Showcases AI and ASEAN Integration

The ninth Digital China Summit in Fuzhou featured AI advancements from Tencent and Sugon and detailed plans to expand digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia.

The ninth Digital China Summit in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, showcased over 6,000 technologies from 400 exhibitors, focusing on artificial intelligence and national computing infrastructure. Sugon debuted a new server design and connected its supercomputing cluster, featuring 60,000 AI accelerator cards, to the national integrated computing-power network. Other major exhibitors included Tencent, which presented its Hy3 preview model, and iFlytek.

Fuzhou implemented the Data Switching Service Network to enable secure public data utilization, which has already reduced costs and timelines for drug development. The summit also prioritized the expansion of digital ties with ASEAN members. The China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd. highlighted its cross-border credit reporting platform, which currently covers 575 million enterprises.

Executive President Gan Qiuling detailed future initiatives to build AI demonstration centers and data exchange platforms in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Laos. These projects aim to facilitate compliant cross-border data flows and deploy industry-specific AI models for education and healthcare.
