General Mills Recalls 736,000 Pillsbury Rolls Due to Glass Contamination
General Mills recalled over 735,000 Pillsbury frozen bread rolls sold at Walmart in-store bakeries across 19 states because they may contain glass fragments.
General Mills issued a voluntary Class II recall of approximately 736,000 Pillsbury frozen bread rolls after discovering potential glass contamination. The recall affects two specific products intended for commercial food-service use: Hard Roll Dough and Kaiser Roll Dough. These items were sold exclusively through Walmart in-store bakeries across 19 U.S. states, including California, Florida, Texas, New York, and Washington.
The recall involves 3,080 cases of Hard Roll Dough and 1,260 cases of Kaiser Roll Dough, with "Better if Used by" dates of October 12 and 13, 2026. The Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II on July 13, a designation meaning the products could cause temporary or medically reversible health issues.
General Mills stated the recall is limited in scope and highly contained, confirming that all impacted products have been removed from shelves. Affected businesses are advised to discard the rolls or return them for a replacement or refund.
